The IU Institute for European Studies (EURO) is pleased to announce an open call for Graduate Student Travel & Research Awards!
As a Jean Monnet European Union Centre of Excellence, EURO has funds to support travel awards for IU graduate students in any discipline who are working on research topics related to the European Union or any of the EU's member states. These funds can support domestic or international travel during the rest of 2024 to conduct research or attend conferences/workshops where you are presenting research or engaging in other professional activities.
Interested applicants should fill out the Grad Application Form which asks for a short proposal (max 750 words), a budget, and a short CV. The max award amount is for €1,000 (apx. $1,100). We anticipate being able to award 2-3 applicants with funds.
Please be advised that, as part of our agreement with the European Union for these funds, you will be asked to share your work from your travel with the IU community. This could include an on-campus presentation, an adapted publication via a departmental newsletter or online blog, a workshop/roundtable with faculty/students, etc. This activity will tentatively be scheduled for next academic year (Fall 2024-Spring 2025) and EURO will work with you to make all appropriate arrangements.
Applications are due by Friday, March 1st at 5pm EST and we expect to have responses issued to all applicants by March 22nd.
