About Mark Trotter

Mark Trotter holds a B.A. from McGill University and M.A. from the University of Michigan. His teaching background includes long periods of service at Grinnell College,  Dániel Berzsenyi Teacher Training College (Szombathely, Hungary), and the Indiana University Summer Language Workshop (formerly SWSEEL), primarily as a teacher of Russian language. From 2004 to 2007 Mark helped to launch the Flagship Program in Russian Language as its first resident director/academic coordinator at Saint Petersburg State University. He sits on the Board of Directors of the American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR), co-chairs the ACTR Olympiada of Spoken Russian, and serves as secretary for the Hungarian Studies Association. He has been certified by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) as an Oral Proficiency Tester for Russian at all levels.
