Career Advising

The Walter Center for Career Achievement is here to help

Dedicated to students majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences, of which the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies is a part, the Walter Center will help you navigate the path to your future with focused career community programming, one-on-one advising services, information on career events and career courses, an extensive online resource library, and internships and job postings. Get advice about how to write your resume and prepare for job interviews, too.

The Walter Center’s Career Communities help connect you with the industries you’re interested in. Students in the College of Arts and Sciences, along with prospective students, can sign up to receive Career Community alerts. These alerts will notify you of events, unique online content, and other opportunities related to your specific career interests.

Internships

We also encourage students to serve internships either domestically or abroad during their course of study. Internships extend classroom learning while providing valuable experience in the workplace. REEI maintains extensive files on internship opportunities, and the REEI advisor provides personal assistance in locating and designing internships to meet specific student needs.
