Indiana University alumni Ann Jakisich Erne and David A. Erne have established the Ann and David Erne Fellowship to support the studies of an incoming graduate student enrolled in the Russian and East European Institute M.A. program.
Eligibility: Must be an incoming student in the Russian and East European M.A. program. Natives of Serbia, persons of Serbian heritage, and persons who demonstrate a strong scholarly focus on Serbia will be given special consideration in the selection process. The fellowship is awarded every other year (next award for students entering in 2024). The fellowship is renewable for an additional year for recipients who maintain satisfactory academic standing.
Award: Stipend of $22,000, a College of Arts and Sciences fee remission towards 12 hours of College of Arts and Sciences credit in both the Fall and Spring semesters as well as 6 hours of College of Arts and Sciences credit in the following summer session, and health insurance.
Application: There is no separate application for this award (i.e. the standard application to the REEI M.A. program serves as application for the fellowship).
