Indiana University alumni Ann Jakisich Erne and David A. Erne established the Ann and David Erne Fellowship to support the studies of an incoming graduate student enrolled in the Russian and East European Institute MA program who has demonstrated excellence, with preference being given to a student who has demonstrated interest in and/or knowledge of Serbian culture and language. The fellowship is awarded every other year (next award for students entering in 2024). The fellowship is renewable for an additional year for recipients who maintain satisfactory academic standing.
Award: Stipend of $22,000, a College of Arts and Sciences fee remission towards 12 hours of College of Arts and Sciences credit in both the Fall and Spring semesters as well as 6 hours of College of Arts and Sciences credit in the following summer session, and health insurance.
Application: There is no separate application for this award (i.e. the standard application to the REEI M.A. program serves as application for the fellowship).
