The Russian and East European Institute at Indiana University in Bloomington is pleased to announce the Daniel Armstrong Memorial Scholarship for incoming freshmen. One Armstrong Scholarship of at least $1,500 will be awarded to an incoming freshman with a record of academic excellence committed to pursue study of Russian or an East European language throughout their undergraduate career.
The scholarship recipient must be a full-time student at Indiana University in Bloomington and maintain a good academic standing, including enrollment in formal instruction in Russian or an East European language through the funded year. Eligible languages taught in the IU Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures include Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Serbian, and Croatian. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, though the amount of the award may change in subsequent years. This award may be combined with most other IU scholarships to cover the costs of attendance at IU in Bloomington. It may not be combined with the Wells Scholarship.
